Type: Part-time (3 days/week), with potential to transition to full-time

At Workwize, we’re revolutionizing how businesses support their global teams.
The rise of a global workforce has enabled companies to access a broader talent pool but has also brought logistical challenges, such as local vendor availability, timely laptop delivery, equipment management, and local retrieval and storage.
Workwize’s SaaS platform, integrated with suppliers and warehouses worldwide, simplifies and automates the deployment, management, and retrieval of IT hardware for distributed teams. Currently, Workwize facilitates fast, local deliveries in 100+ countries, supporting the IT lifecycle for over 25,000 users and managing 100,000+ devices globally.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our fast-paced, international scale-up as our first in-house legal hire.
In this foundational role, you will shape and lead our commercial legal function — supporting vendor, customer, and internal agreements — while helping us scale efficiently, compliantly, and with pace.

You'll work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, and HR to ensure contracts are not only compliant, but also enable business momentum.

You’ll bring a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset to legal decision-making, and play a key role in making deal cycles smoother, reducing risk, and helping us scale compliantly. A strong commercial mindset is essential to understand trade-offs and partner with business leaders.

Key Success Factors:

  • Contract Efficiency: Reduce deal time and increase speed-to-signature for commercial contracts.

  • Conversion Excellence: Improve the percentage of contracts sent that are successfully closed.

  • Compliance Confidence: Ensure 100% adherence to commercial and insurance contract policies.

  • Vendor Reliability: Maintain compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) on all vendor contracts.

What you will do:

  • Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and
    vendor contracts across jurisdictions.

  • Manage legal reviews and negotiations for procurement, SaaS tools, consultancy services, and other third-party agreements.

  • Act as a strategic partner to Sales and other teams, providing practical risk assessments and legal advice that support business outcomes.

  • Own the contract lifecycle and maintain up-to-date records, templates, and clause libraries to streamline future processes.

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, Customer Succes and HR teams to align legal input with broader go-to-market and operational goals.

  • Help lay the groundwork for scalable legal processes, tooling, and documentation as the company grows

Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent); additional exposure to Common Law systems (e.g. UK, US) is a strong plus.

  • 3–6 years of post-qualification experience, ideally including:

    • A background in top-tier law firms focusing on commercial or technology law.

    • In-house legal experience, ideally within a SaaS company or fast-paced tech scale-up.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex commercial contracts, including customer MSAs, DPAs, and vendor SLAs.

  • Familiarity with contract law, data protection (GDPR), and procurement workflows.

  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and international teams.

  • A commercial mindset that allows you to balance risk and speed without compromising compliance.

  • Strong drafting, redlining, and negotiation capabilities.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — able to simplify legal for non-legal colleagues.

  • Autonomous, organized, and comfortable owning legal from the ground up.

  • Fluent in English (written & spoken); other European languages are a plus.
