We’re looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales Development professional to join our Commercial team. You will be the first SDR at Trengo, giving you a unique opportunity to bring your experience, shape the role, and influence how our sales team scales in the future.

This is more than a typical entry-level SDR role — it’s a builder role. You’ll have the chance to own outreach strategies, test new approaches, and directly impact revenue growth. After 12–18 months, high performers will have a clear path to grow into an AE role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, engage, and nurture potential customers through outbound channels (calls, emails, LinkedIn, social selling).

  • Conduct research to create targeted, segment-specific outreach strategies.

  • Lead discovery conversations, understand prospect needs, and highlight how Trengo can add value.

  • Book high-quality meetings and demos for Account Executives, ensuring a smooth handover.

  • Continuously test and optimize outreach strategies, using data to improve conversion rates.

  • Contribute insights, best practices, and lessons learned to foster a high-performing, collaborative commercial environment.

What You’ll Bring

  • 1–2+ years of experience in SDR, BDR, or similar commercial roles, ideally in International SaaS or tech environments.

  • Strong communication skills in English; and Dutch with a hunter mentality and an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Comfortable engaging prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn — feedback and rejection are seen as part of learning.

  • Curious mindset with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and uncover real business challenges.

  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and sales tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo).

  • Interest in AI, automation, and innovative customer engagement strategies.

  • Ambition to take ownership, contribute ideas, and shape the first SDR role at Trengo.
