Job Overview

As an A&R Scout, you will be responsible for connecting artists who are seeking funding with Sonomo. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the music industry, is well-networked and has a passion for financially helping artists build their careers.

This position is also open to artists who want to expand their industry knowledge and connections while continuing their own music careers. You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely, manage your own schedule, and leverage your industry expertise to identify promising talent and catalog opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Talent & Catalog Scouting: Identify artists, songwriters, and producers who need funding.
• Evaluation & Pitching: Assess potential rights holders based on specific criteria and present Sonomo as a funding solution.
• Deal Facilitation: Work closely with Sonomo to ensure smooth onboarding for artists and rights holders.

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior experience in A&R, artist management, or a related field preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: An understanding of music rights and digital distribution preferred.
• Network: Established connections with artists, managers, and industry professionals.
• Passion for Music: A keen ear for talent and an understanding of marketable music.
