Job Description:

Sonomo is seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Controller to take complete ownership of our operational financial matters. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the company’s general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Managing tax reporting and liaising with authorities (Belastingdienst) to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Monitoring and analyzing platform KPIs to drive performance improvements.
• Producing a comprehensive monthly investor reporting package, providing insights and transparency.
• Assisting with legal and compliance-related matters to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Supporting strategic decision-making and finance initiatives to drive company growth and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of experience in an audit/accounting function at a Big4 or other leading firm, or equivalent experience as a Financial Controller at another company.
• Proficiency in Excel, with experience in database querying considered a plus.
• Highly analytical with a solid understanding of capital markets.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential.
