Operating in Sweden and the UK, our innovative platform matches individuals with the right therapist, using research-backed technology to ensure a seamless and effective journey into therapy. Having secured 4 million euros in funding to date and our first large insurance partnership, with ambitious growth plans, we are preparing for our Series A funding round.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our leadership team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced technology leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels in stakeholder engagement, and is equally at ease crafting strategy and rolling up their sleeves to build and lead high-performing teams.

We are looking for proven hands-on technical skills with a focus on high-level strategic thinking.

1. Strategic Vision:

• Lead the development and execution of Meela’s technology roadmap, aligning it with business goals and long-term growth objectives.
• Collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to navigate the Series A investment round, ensuring technical priorities align with business needs and investor expectations.
• Leverage technology as a strategic asset to expand Meela’s market presence and support new partnerships, including our insurance collaboration. Help with fundraising.

2. Hands-on Leadership with people management responsibilities:

• Build a high-performing team of engineers recruiting talents, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching, and creating a collaborative and innovative culture at Meela.
• Have experience working with the performance management of the team, talent retention and recruitment.
• Be comfortable stepping into the technical trenches to guide and help develop the code of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
• Champion agile methodologies and always encourage innovation within the tech team.

3. Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, insurance partners, regulatory bodies, and the board, to drive technical alignment and credibility.
• Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to non-technical stakeholders, including therapists and external partners.

4. Technical Expertise:

• Deep understanding of modern technology stacks and architecture, with a proven track record of delivering robust, secure and scalable platforms. If you know Rust, that's a big plus.
• Experience or exposure to marketplace platforms, machine learning, APIs, and secure data management, particularly in health tech or regulated environments. Ability to assess, implement, and manage technical risks and opportunities.

What You Bring:

• Proven experience in a CTO or senior technical leadership role, ideally in a startup or fast-scaling environment.
• Proven hands-on technical skills with a focus on high-level strategic thinking.
• Demonstrated success in managing technical teams who have high performance and deliver complex projects.
• Experience navigating Series A or later-stage investment rounds is highly desirable.
• Strong business acumen and ability to align technical goals with broader company objectives.
• Familiarity with European data regulations, especially GDPR, is a plus.
