Chief of Staff
People & HR, Operations
Antwerp, Belgium
Job description
Enersee | Chief of Staff
Chief of Staff
Enersee is scaling fast. We need someone who makes sure everything moves with it.
We've built a proprietary AI-powered Virtual Energy Manager that's already trusted by enterprise names like Belfius, VDAB, and Ahold Delhaize. We've raised €4M and we're Series A-ready. The next 12 months are about 5x growth: new markets, bigger customers, a bigger team.
We're not looking for a Chief of Staff who writes strategy decks. We're looking for someone who makes sure the CEO's time is spent on the right things, that decisions actually get implemented, and that nothing falls through the cracks during one of the most critical growth phases we'll ever have.
This role is deliberately hard to describe. The best way to understand it is to listen to this podcast. If you recognise yourself in it, reach out.
Responsibilities
Be the CEO's right hand. Own the CEO's agenda, priorities, and bandwidth. Filter, prepare, and follow up so decisions happen fast and stick.
Drive cross-functional execution. Track what's been decided, who owns it, and whether it's actually happening. Identify when things are slipping before they become problems.
Prepare for next funding round. Own the data room, investor materials, and reporting cadence. You'll know our KPIs as well as anyone together with the CEO.
Run strategic projects end-to-end. Partnerships, market research, hiring processes, operational setups. When something doesn't fit neatly into anyone's role, it's yours.
Be the connective tissue. Make sure Sales, Product, CS, and Engineering are aligned on priorities and don't waste time on mismatches.
Represent Enersee externally with investors, partners, and enterprise prospects when the CEO can't be everywhere at once.
What we're looking for
You've been at the centre of a fast-moving organisation in consulting, a high-growth startup, a VC, or a scale-up. You understand what "organised chaos" feels like and you thrive in it.
You get things done. Not by delegating or waiting for perfect information. You move, you adapt, you follow up.
You're sharp with data. You can build a financial model, pull together a board update, and spot when a number doesn't make sense.
You own processes and automation from sales to finance: In essence, you are a part time CFO as well, making sure no revenue gets missed, no KPI gets dropped. Obviously with the support of internal and external resources for bookkeeping and the like.
You communicate with precision. You write well, present well, and can hold a room with a CFO or a product team lead. You understand that getting a team to execute takes ****great storytelling that meets action bias.
You're comfortable with ambiguity. This role will evolve. What you work on in month 3 will look different from month 12. That energises you, not stresses you.
You speak the language. Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French a strong plus given our Belgian enterprise customer base.
You're office-first. Antwerp is home base, minimum 3 days/week. Most of the team is there 4–5 days.
You're wired for output, not hours. You do what's needed to get the work done, and you get flexibility in return.
What you get
Competitive base salary based on experience
Performance bonus (up to €25K/year)
Stock options: you grow, we grow
13th month + double vacation pay
Company car (€35–50K) or mobility budget + extra salary

EV charging card (private use included)
Hospital insurance + family discounts
Laptop + smartphone + €30/month connectivity
Offices in Antwerp and Brussels + hybrid flexibility
Location: Antwerp (with Brussels satellite office)
Type: Full-time
